Rani,Kareena denies to shoot at Red-light area

Aamir Khan's new film being directed by Reema Kagti seems to be making news. The more the makers are trying to maintain secrecy around the project, the more attention it is garnering. Earlier there were reports that Aamir Khan, in all probability, plays a ghost in the film. And now the female leads of the film are making news.

Though Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor has played prostitute in their acting career, when they were asked to shoot at the red light area of Mumbai, they refused. Between these two, one of the actresses are playing a prostitute in Reema Kagti’s untitled flick starring Aamir Khan in the lead and when the director asked them to shoot a particular scene at the Mumbai red light area for the reality touch, they straightway refused.

The actresses are not comfortable shooting in those areas. If we remember, Kareena Kapoor won the critically acclaimed award for the role of a prostitute in ‘Chameli’ while Rani also acted prostitute in films like ‘Saawariya’, Laga Chunari Mein Daag’ and ‘Mangal Pandey’.

Apparently, the refusal of the actresses led to the delay in shooting. Now, the scene will be shot in Lower Parel in Mumbai.
