When I seen the Play button on the new Google Doodle this morning my first assumption was it must be YouTube’s birthday. I was wrong.

It was a YouTube video that appeared when I pressed play but my speakers were filled with the sound of John Lennon singing Imagine.


Ah ha, it is his birthday tomorrow, his 70th birthday. I guess the peeps at Goog HQ are Beatles fans.
At the end of the small animated clip the page automatically redirects to the search results for John Lennon. Nice touch and a pretty cool doodle idea too.
